Love Story: Find the Piece is a hidden object game with one mechanical twist that changes how it plays: you search with a scanner. Rather than scanning an illustration with your eyes and clicking what you spot, you move a scanning window across the picture and read what it reveals. The search happens through a lens, and that turns looking into a physical activity rather than a purely visual one.
It matters more than it sounds. In a conventional hidden object game a sharp-eyed player can take in most of a scene at once and pick things off. Here you can only ever see through the scanner, so coverage becomes a real problem — you have to move it systematically or you will pass over the same third of the illustration three times and never touch the rest.
The frame around it is a comic love story told in puzzles, which keeps the tone light and gives the scenes a reason to be busy. Illustrations in this genre are cluttered by design, and having a narrative excuse for the clutter — a couple's life, their belongings, their situations — makes the scenes read as places rather than as puzzle boards.
It carries Cosy, Puzzle and Casual. Cosy because nothing is timed and nothing can be lost; Puzzle because finding things genuinely requires method; Casual because the whole game is moving a scanner and clicking. It is the sort of game that rewards patience specifically, which is a rarer thing to be built around than it should be.
