It was announced on January 16, 2018, and released on July 24, 2018, alongside companion versions Papa's Scooperia HD and Papa's Scooperia To Go!. The story drops you in Oniontown, a quirky town built around a steampunk-flavored underground convention called Sprocketworld, after a sightseeing trip goes wrong and you lose your money and belongings. Papa Louie's solution is to put you to work running his newest shop instead of paying your way home.
Unlike the pizza, burger or taco shops earlier in the series, Scooperia is built around cookie-and-ice-cream sundaes rather than a single dish type, which changes the rhythm of every station. You take each customer's order at the counter, move to the bake station to prepare and bake the cookies that will anchor the sundae, then finish at the build station by scooping ice cream flavors, layering them to the customer's exact request, and topping the whole thing with sauces, sprinkles and other extras before it goes out. Because two separate preparation stages feed into a single dessert, a mistake made early at the bake station cannot always be fixed later at the build station, which makes reading the full order before starting more important here than in some earlier Papa's games.
The series' signature formula carries over intact: every customer has a specific, sometimes very particular order, and matching it exactly earns tips and reputation while getting it wrong costs you both. As shifts progress, the number of tables and the complexity of orders both increase, so the same three-station loop that felt manageable on day one becomes a genuine multitasking test once regulars start stacking unusual topping combinations onto their sundaes.
Being the final web release in the main series gives Scooperia the benefit of over a decade of refinements: character customization through the Sticker Book, a wide roster of Oniontown locals with their own quirks and favorite combinations, and a build station interface polished across thirteen prior games. Workers Carlo Romano and Koilee, the featured pair for this installment, hold down the counter while you juggle bake timers and scoop precision.
It suits players who already enjoy the Papa's formula and want the deepest, most dessert-focused entry, as well as newcomers who prefer a sweeter, lower-stakes theme than burgers or barbecue. The learning curve is gentle at first and rewards attentiveness over speed, so it plays well both for players chasing perfect scores and those just working through a relaxed shift. Being the series' final web installment also means Oniontown's cast of regulars is one of the largest in the franchise, so learning individual customers' quirks pays off across a long run of shifts rather than just one or two.
On LemonArcade, Papa's Scooperia runs free in the browser with no download and no account required, using nothing but mouse clicks for every action from taking an order to scooping the final topping. A shift takes a few minutes, later shifts run longer as tables multiply, and because there is no fail state beyond a lower rating, it stays approachable even during a first attempt at the build station.
